Bulgari Perfume

How do you describe the scent of perfume, something intangible? We took inspiration from The Museum of the Roman Civilization’s architectural elements, which provided the backdrop of Matteo Garrone’s concept film for Bulgari’s Man Extreme. To reference the stark silhouettes of the pillars, a similar motif was designed for the perfume’s gallery exhibition—capturing the universe of Bulgari Men perfume. Bringing Rome’s architecture to Tokyo, the strong light and shadow effects casted in the gallery space highlights the dual aspect of men; light and shadow. Bergamot, Jasmine, Whitewood that compose main notes of the fragrance were framed on the wall so as to visualize the invisible and transient nature of the fragrance.
